Although spring is just about here, winter is still hanging around in many parts of the country. I know that our skin will go through an adjustment phase as the seasons change. Carmex skincare products can help with that. Besides the usual Carmex lip care items, they also offer a Healing Cream and Healing Lotion.
I have used both of them in the past and love them! They lotion is light and great for everyday use while the cream is best to use for those extra dry areas. Both of them have that signature Carmex scent and it almost smells a bit like playdough. They are loaded with vitamin E and ultra-concentrated aloe vera to sooth and hydrate skin and never leaves a greasy or heavy feel. I like how thick they are and it works great on even the most sensitive skin. My oldest daughter has a hard time using a lot of lotions, but Carmex Healing Lotion works well for her.

Hey guys! It's been a while since I have gotten to test out some new goodies from Carmex. I just received this cute beach bag and 6 Carmex sticks just in time to replenish our supply. Yes, I said supply. We always keep extra Carmex on hand! Carmex sent us the sticks in all 6 flavors- Original, Strawberry, Cherry, Lime Twist, Vanilla and the brand new Pomegranate.
My oldest daughter immediately called dibs on the Pomegranate and the younger one picked the Vanilla. Looks like the rest of us will have to duke it our over the others. I personally can't get enough of the Original and the Lime Twist. I always wear it under my lip color and sometimes I will wear just Carmex alone. Who needs color when your lips feel soft and smooth anyway? I also really love the convenience of a stick because it can easily fit in my pocket for days I am not carrying a bag. I received the latest Carmex Blog Squad goodies last week and they came right on time! The kit came with both Carmex Healing Lotion and Healing Cream in full-size tubes as well as the mini versions. I have tried both of them out in the past and love love love them! It has a very light scent that reminds me of playdough for some reason. They are non-greasy and emollient at the same time.
I am a big fan of the healing cream since the temperatures have dropped. My whole family's skin turns into reptile-like scales. Not cute at all! The cream is heavy enough to smooth my skin out and makes it feel and look softer instantly. These creams and lotions are available at Walgreens and CVS and I just found out that Walmart will start carrying it. That is great news since I go there at least once a week (just don't tell my husband that). Full-size tubes retail for about $5.99 and the mini ones for around $0.99. They would make perfect stocking stuffers and teacher gifts. I can just see a small tube of Carmex lotion for each teacher to keep in their desk.

I will start off by saying that this photo was in no way set-up nor was the row of Carmex arranged by no one other them William himself. I can't believe he had 5 of them at one time and was so proud spread them out and count them. William wakes up some mornings and the first thing that comes out of his mouth is "Where is my Carmex cherry?". He knows his little hiding places and will search high and low to find them! Wow, I am thinking intervention here! My boy is too funny :)
I don't know about you but I have been a long time fan of Gain® laundry detergent. It cleans our clothing very well but there is something unbeatable about the scent. I was pleasantly surprised today when I looked in my mailbox and saw that I received two tubes of the new Carmex Moisture Plus Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm in both sheer peach and pink tint. I got to try it out for myself when I did the last Carmex review and I have been wearing it for about a month now. I really love the smooth feeling when you glide it on. You get the slightest hint of color with a nice shine. It is really good for daytime wear or for those days you are going without make-up. I love the fact that it has sunscreen in it since we don't always think about using any sun protection on our lips. I like the sleek tube too. I would really love to see maybe a cranberry or cocoa tint for darker complexions... Oooh maybe even sparkles! I think it lasts on my lips maybe 2-3 hours depending on how often I sip a drink or eat. Both my daughters have been using them as well and they love it. I think these would make the perfect stocking stuffers or they would be great as a teacher gift for the holidays. I am so excited to be an official Carmex Blog Squad member! Of course you all know we have some serious Carmex fans in our household. We have been loyal users for over 10 years now and can't go a day without the stuff! I was very happy to hear that Carmex came out with 2 new skin products, Carmex Healing Lotion and Healing Cream. I have some serious issues with dry skin especially when the seasons change and in the colder weather months. I also have super dry hands from all the hand washing I do all day long. I tried out the Healing Lotion on my legs and arms and really loved the feel and smell- Not heavy or greasy but just enough of an emollient feel. The scent is subtle and almost reminds me of playdough (in a good way). My 16 year old took the travel size tube of lotion to practice on Friday and the whole volleyball team was raving about how cool it was that Carmex makes lotion and how nice it smelled and felt. Needless to say her travel tube is empty! You can purchase the lotion and cream at Walgreens and Drugstore.com. It runs for about $5.99 and that is not bad at all!
Since my family already was VERY familiar with the traditional Carmex lip products (tubes, jars and sticks) we were eager to test out the Moisture Plus Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm especially with the hint of color. I grabbed the peach tinted one and I really love how subtle the color was as well as the deep moisturized feeling my lips had. It was not greasy or heavy at all and lasted for a few hours. I really love how the tube looks like a lipgloss/ lipstick. Very girly and pretty :) I think these are great as add-on gift for teenage girls as well as stocking stuffers.
