Watch out...here comes trouble!!

Hello friends, hope everyone is having a fantastic day! I am going to have my hubby do a few posts each week. Lots of you have contacted me and think he is so entertaining. Trust me, you just don't know~! He feels like he can offer some advice to the ladies about a 'man's point on view'. I know some of you are laughing right now, because I know I am! ;o) Let me stop making fun of the guy (that will be next week's post with a video clip of how loud he snores!). No I really should stop before I get my stay-at-home mom title revoked! He will also offer other good bits of information and tips dealing with real estate, financing, credit, and "daddy" advice. I always mention that he is a big baby, this is why I refuse to give him a son. Who needs two Dwayne's in the world! Now folks, be open minded because sometimes the man is a little too "out there"! I have signed up for a lifetime of "better or worse". Ha! Ha!~

Digital phone service

Hello all! Today I wanted to give you are warning, in the event you did not already know this. Digital phone service has become a very popular choice recently and saves big bucks when compared to the traditional phone lines. I personally have digital phone for home and business and have been pleased mostly for the savings. Here it comes, the downfall... when you are receiving a call waiting call and click over, beware that the person you were speaking with can possibly hear your conversation on the other line. This has happened to me twice! I now do not bother to click over and just let the calls go to voicemail. You never know who might hear something that was not intended for their ears! My local provider assured me that this was temporary and they are working out the "glitches". So be careful what you say!

There are teachers, and then there are educators...

According to a news report, a certain private school in Washington was recently faced with a unique problem. A number of 12-year-old girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom. That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints. Every night the maintenance man would remove them and the next day the girls would put them back. Finally the principal decided that something had to be done. She called all the girls to the bathroom and met them there with the maintenance man. She explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the custodian who had to clean the mirrors every night. To demonstrate how difficult it had been to clean the mirrors, she asked the maintenance man to show the girls how much effort was required. He took out a long-handled squeegee, dipped it in the toilet, and cleaned the mirror with it. Since then, there have been no lip prints on the mirror. There are teachers, and then there are educators...

Hubby saves the day, sort of

This morning my sister and her husband were leaving my house when my brother-in-law tells me "There's a snake under your steps". Of course I just knew he was tricking me because he does that sort of thing all the time. Well, sure enough I could see the body of this snake slithering (I am freaking out at the moment) under my front deck. I instantly call my husband from my cell phone and he ran out to investigate. He goes and grabs a rake (I guess he must have not seen the shovel) and goes on a mission... he had beads of sweat dripping from his forehead... Next thing you know he starts to pretend that he is the Crocodile Hunter!! LOL!! I think his poor acting skills scared the snake away. Of course I will let him think it was his 'manliness' that did the trick! As it turns out, it was just a common garden snake, still a snake though!!

Russell Simmons, Honorable Mention

I was reading an article online this morning about Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons. He said that the recording industry should ban the use of extrememly bad words in music. Yes, there's that old 'Freedom of Speech' thing, but when you are using vulgar words in every other phrase, there is a big problem especially to moms. We care about what our children listen to and unfortunately we can't be there to monitor every second of the day of our childrens' lives. Every time you turn your car radio on, there is a catchy and popular song on that you even find yourself listening to, but when the kids are in the car you change the station because of the suggestive words. I truly hope that Russell Simmons will be able to use his status to bring results. Sadly, we live in a world that obscene language and behavior is acceptable by society. Check the full story out here.
