Tide To Go Stain Eraser sure comes in handy!

I received some samples of Tide to Go Stain Erasers a while back to try out. We were heading out to a birthday party last weekend and being the mom I am, I made my little one eat something before we left the house. Of course, it would be 2 minutes before it was time to go when William dropped the last forkful of his lunch on his good shirt. I didn't have much time to iron a new shirt and change him so I remembered I had a Tide to go eraser stashed in my purse.
All I remember is repeating, "Please work, please work, please work!" I opened it up and folded the sides up as directed. As you can see below, I had a bit of an accident because I squeezed too hard and spilled the cleaner down his shirt!  Luckily it worked out just fine. The stain came out and we were out the door, looking sharp!
I gave my husband a couple of these to keep in his wallet for the occasional accidents he has at lunch. I can't tell you how many times he has come home with a stain on his shirt or tie. This is a great item to keep in your purse or wallet especially if you eat on the run.

Tide with Acti-lift

I am such a laundry detergent snob. I truly love Tide. Tide now has Acti-Lift which helps to soften up tough stains that can be hard to get out. I find this very helpful with William and Dwayne's clothing since they make the most mess! I recently started using the scents with a touch of Febreze and the whole family loves the way everything smells. I wanted to share with you that the P&G brand site has $1 off coupons off almost all the Tide products. I know a lot of you love online shopping. Some of the items will even give you a bonus product at checkout. Just thought I would share since I did not realize you can purchase Tide online. Oh yeah and they take PayPal! :)

Get rid of your washing machine funk! (Giveaway)

**Contest Closed**
Winner #72 Sue E. Thanks to all for participating!

My awesome friends at Tide contacted me to try out their new product called Tide Washing Machine Cleaner. Being the big fan of the family of Tide products I was very optimistic. I have a dinosaur washing machine and was afraid that a new product like this would not work for me. Luckily I was wrong! It can be used in all washers. This product was formulated to help clean built-up residue that can re-attach to your clothes. The cleaner comes in a powder form and for me all I had to do was add it straight into my washer (without clothing) and run a normal cycle using hot water. The first thing I noticed was the scent. It is one of those "slap you in the face" kind of fresh scents. I love strong scents when it comes to cleaning products so this was a plus for me. A soon as my washer started to agitate I could smell the freshness traveling up to the top floor of my home. Seriously, my machine smells so good and there is no sign of the funk left over. It is suggested to initially use 1 packet once per week for three weeks and then once per month for maintenance. I will stick a note in my washroom to remind me to clean the washer on a schedule.

**For those of you with HE machines I found out that washing machine odor is actually a common problem with HE washing machines. Since these machines use less water, odor causing residues can build up in unseen places like the back of the drum, hose or drain.

Tide® Loads of Hope & a giveaway

If you have been involved in any major disaster that wiped out all of the everyday conveniences of life it would be devastating. We went through Hurricane Andrew back in August of 1992 and we felt those feelings of devastation and hopelessness. You never know how much clean laundry really means until you don't have it for a couple of weeks. Can you imagine that? This is what we went through. Well in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Tide launched a campaign called Loads of Hope to help provide clean clothes for the families affected by disaster.

The Tide Loads of Hope program features a truck outfitted with 32 energy-efficient washers and dryers that can do 300 wash and dry cycles a day (the average American family does 392 loads per year). The program has also expanded to include a fleet of vans that can pick up and drop off laundry to local laundromats. Relief workers, first responders, and individuals in areas affected are able to drop off their laundry to be washed, dried and folded by the Tide Loads of Hope team, free of charge. The truck and vans are implemented after consultation with disaster relief agencies and local emergency management officials when significant disasters occur and there is a widespread need for clean clothing. This is a truly unique way to help communities! If you purchase the special Tide® yellow capped bottles of detergent 10¢ will go toward helping families affected by disasters.

You can also purchase one of their very cool vintage tees for $20 and proceeds will go to help affected families. The tees are so comfortable and they feel like your favorite t-shirt you have had for years and you won't get rid of it because it's perfectly "worn in". I was lucky enough to get one from Tide and it is my new favorite tee!

Now it's your turn to get a chance to win one of your very own. We are giving away one t-shirt to 3 lucky readers in hopes of spreading the word on what Tide® Loads of Hope is doing to help families in need of clean laundry affected by a major disaster.
