I went to the doctor's office today and sat in waiting area like usual. I noticed there were two very adorable little girls (about 3 & 5) playing in the corner with the magazines on a little table. It seemed normal, for the first two minutes. I sat there looking around to see where the parent might be. There were not too many of us in the room so after ruling out that none of those people were the girls parents I got a little scared. I was chatting with another lady that was sitting next to me and we were both wondering where the parents were. She told me that the girls has been there since she got there at 9:30. By that time it was 10:40. Long time. Eventually at 11:25 the mother comes strolling out of the back office. Get this, her husband was right behind her. WTH?? Now you mean that both parents were there and they left these little girls alone to wait for you for 2 hours?? Oh the scary things that could have happened to those little girls. I just don't know how anyone could do that.
CRAZY! I can't imagine how they had the nerve. Seriously, if I worked at that office (I worked for a doctor back in the day), I would have had the parents take in the little girls. I wouldn't have a problem with them being there, but the fact is you can get distracted, and you never know who can just step in and do something. Nutty.
ReplyDeleteI agree...WTH! Clearly something is wrong with BOTH of the parents. What if a crazy person with bad intentions had been in the waiting room? With kids going missing everyday you would think that the parents would know better.
ReplyDeleteHugs and Mocha,
Stesha
That is ridiculous!!!! Why couldnt the dad have sat in the waiting room with those 2 little girls? Parents are getting waaaay too comfortable these days - its foolish and its dangerous! *smh*
ReplyDeleteSeen the exact same thing yesterday..My husband and I had gone to eat lunch and in walks a family of three, two adults and a little girl (maybe 4-5 yrs old). They both got in line and told her to go sit down. The entire time they were in line their backs were turned and they turned to check on her once! It was a very busy sub shop and around noon, so the people were starting to pile in...I said to my husband, "Anyone can run in this back door scoop her up and be out and they wouldn't notice it!" Just crazy!!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the parents did that and that no one on the office staff objected. Very scary.
ReplyDeleteoh no!!!!! thankfully the little girls were OK.
ReplyDeleteMost people who are parents really do not need to be. That was very careless of them.
ReplyDeleteSome people do such stupid things. Any time I go to the dr. the kids are piled in that exam. room right along with me. This is ridiculous. I'm glad the kids are okay. This is one reason you hear on the news "I was only gone for a little while and when I came back they were gone" Some people don't think AT ALL!
ReplyDeleteWow. Kids that young...The things some people do.
ReplyDeleteWhat in the...? So they expected the receptionists to give day care service? What a shame.
