Wordfull Wednesday

Hey guys! I just wanted to let you all know (since so many people have asked about it) that my COOL WHIP ad is officially in magazines! I picked up a copy of Every Day with Rachael Ray [June issue] yesterday. I am still in shock that the lady in the photo is ME!

I have received several text messages, email and FB messages from those who have seen it already. Looking forward to buying a few copies for my kids to have to show their future kids! Just thought I would share. Have a great second half of the week :)

Wordfull Wednesday | A priceless keepsake

Growing up as a child was not very easy for me. I had a very different upbringing from my peers and had a lot of self-esteem issues. Honestly, a lot of my days were very sad. I had this sheet I slept with every single night since I was very little (maybe  4 or 5). There was nothing glamorous about it. It was just a simple light blue bed sheet with butterflies on it.

There was something so special about this sheet though. Over the years it had become so worn that you can practically see through it. It feels like silk and has not one single hole in it. I left my parent's home when I was just 17 years old. I was not allowed to take anything with me but I did manage to grab my "blue sheet". I went through so much over the years but always had my sheet to comfort me. I still have this special sheet after all these years and have even put it in my will for Briahnna to have when I pass away. She has always had a thing for butterflies and it seemed fitting for her to have it. I no longer sleep with my sheet but I do keep it around the house to remind me how much I have grown as a person.

Do you have a special keepsake that you won't let go of?

Wordfull Wednesday- Case of the Beaver

I borrowed the Wordfull Wednesday from Renee at Cutie Booty Cakes. There is no way I could have done this post without a lot of words involved!
These are some photos that were taken on our side yard in the woods of some trees that were casualties of our neighborhood beaver. I have never actually seen anything like this in real life before.

Dwayne has heard him beavering (who knows what you call it) at night. I just wish I could capture some shots while the little pest is in action! I haven’t gotten a really good look at him since he is usually swimming way on the other side of the pond in the day time.

See our lovely pollen? Ugh! This could easily turn into a vent day!
This is the dam the beaver built covering the drainpipe of the pond we live on.

Here is his stash! Dwayne likes to call it firewood for next Winter!
