It's not a convertible crib where you just remove one side and it's converted to a toddler bed? If so, you all could even continue using it another couple years.

If not, I would probably go for the toddler bed. A twin bed just seems like a huge jump, and he might have difficulty adjusting to the change, even with the additional of rails. He can stay in his toddler bed til he's like 5 or 6.... and then you all can move on to the twin.

On a related note, omg, we're having the hardest time transitioning Chase to his toddler bed. I hate to rush him (just because of the arrival of the baby), because he's clearly not emotionally ready for this transition yet. Although we've already spent the money, I'm strongly considering just getting a second crib for the baby, and boxing up the toddler bed for now. I don't see it as "giving up," so much as just letting nature take its course, you know? We shall see....Yakinihttp://www.prissymommy.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1613068493835754905.post-33613960535318369232010-07-15T13:56:46.514-04:002010-07-15T13:56:46.514-04:00Keep him in a crib for as long as possible! But he kept falling out and we moved on up to a twin. He always ended up sideways and hanging out of it. Now he sleeps in a full size and we have no problems at all.She Needshttp://sheneeds.blog.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1613068493835754905.post-47030812421678914992010-07-15T12:33:00.655-04:002010-07-15T12:33:00.655-04:00I say if he's still comfortable in and enjoy t...I say if he's still comfortable in and enjoy the crib then leave him! Gabe went into a toddler bed simply because his crib converted and we could continue using his crib mattress. He is now in a bunk bed and LOVES it.Kristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10791317184998122691noreply@blogger.com
