My feelings about Valentine's Day

I witnessed people walking around Walmart yesterday like freakin' sheep. They were all fixated on all things chocolate, flowers and hearts. They were filling their carts with all kinds of goodies to give to their loved ones. These people were all falling for the Valentine's day trap. If you don't spend money and buy "things" for the one you love then you really don't love them. Valentine's day is a fake-ass holiday. I am shown year 'round just how much I am loved and adored. I don't need over-priced flowers or trinkets to remind me of that. I would prefer to see that I have a refrigerator full of food over receiving a present any day. Having all of my needs met (and the family's) everyday is what I care about and shows genuine love. Call me mean or no fun~I don't care. We have countries fighting for freedom and peace and our country is hung up on material things. Very sad. Now I will say that I will gladly buy all that Valentine's crap when it is 90% off. Yep. I'm smart like that.

  1. It's okay to buy lingerie, right? Because I think lingerie is a good thing on Valentine's Day and every other day of the year.
