4? Really?

I am asked all the time how old little William is and I tell folks he is two and a half. They reply in shock and say that they thought he was 4. Wow, 4? I really don't see it at all until this past weekend. We went to a cookout and there was a lot of little kids ages newborn to teens. I saw a lot of little ones I thought were William's age but it turns out they were older... 4 & 5! I guess because I am with him 24/7 I don't notice how big he is getting. Does that happen to you where people think your kid is way older or younger than he/she really is?

Look at him looking like an old man in his pajamas. He was not looking at the camera which is not surprising. I don't post a lot of photos of him these days since he does not cooperate. He usually only wants to view the photos you take and run away when you try to take them.

  1. As you know, it's always the most intelligent children that are mistaken for being older than they really are. So that's a great great compliment.

Hahaha @ He usually only wants to view the photos you take and run away when you try to take them. Priceless.

  2. Jaimen was always mistaken as a year older than he is, until this year however. I believe its because they play like older kids, they don't act like 2-3 year olds.
He sure looks cute in those jammies though!

  3. Ari is always mistaken for being older than she is. She's tall and very serious for her age. She's not even 2 yet but has been in 3T since she was 1.5 years old.

  4. That has happened to all my kids and is still happening to Marty. Marty is 13 and has been mistaken (when my mom was trying to go onto the Air Force Base with him) for 18+

  5. People think Ace is older than he is because he is so tall. He's still a little guy to me, but I guess he is small for his age...

  6. How cute! I know, since we're around them we don't realize how big they are getting.

  7. Okay, I could see someone thinking William looked a little older and mature for his age - but 4? Hahaha! That is pushing it. He still looks like a baby/toddler to me - not a 4 year old almost ready for kindegarten! *smh*

People find it hard to believe that Chase is only 21 months as well. To me he still looks little/young... but I guess I can't see it from their perspective.
