I'm an outcast

Out of all the moms I know personally, online or in any other way I seem to be the ONLY one that formula fed my babies. I never one time had the urge to breastfeed. I have been looked down on for not breastfeeding. I just don't get it. Okay, that's it...just had to let that one out ;-)

  1. I tried to nurse Nae but it didn't work out and went to formula. She turned out fine! Zilla I nursed and did formula for 10 months. Different kids, different temperaments.

Never once have I EVER looked down upon a mother who chose to formula feed rather then breast feed and vise verse. I'll NEVER look down on you, only up ;o) Anyone who puts you down for YOUR choices, you just send em my way! You're an amazing mother!

  2. You know, sometimes you just have to do what's best for you and the person involved. Maybe they weren't meant to be breastfeed.
It's not something to be ashamed of at all and poo poo on those who look down upon that!
It doesn't make you less of a great mum to your children =]

  3. I did not beastfeed~ I tried maybe 3 times and was done..I pumped but then that even didnt stay long. I can say that I probably proved the theory that breastfed babies are healthier cause well you know bubba! That does not make you less of a mom though. I have always felt to each thier own! Life is what you make it and well your kids are BEAUTIFUL/healthy as well as you annnnndd yes Dwayne you are cute too :) Hugs!!

  4. My sister did the same thing and it was right for her. If it worked for you, it was the right thing to do.

  5. I never thought once to breastfeed either one of my kiddos I was totally uncomfortable about the whole entire thing, It seems to me... that people who look down or judge others...have something in thier own lives that needs addressing and this is thier way of ignoring it.

  6. Don't feel bad I never had the urge to neither, not to mention I kept having Mastitus so I couldnt. I just really didnt feel comfortable trying to do it neither.

  7. You are not alone. I chose not to breastfeed and ONLY formula-fed. I really didn't want to try either. Bottle just seeemed easier to me and for me to return to work five weeks later.

  8. Sometimes I wish I wasn't breastfeeding... others I LOVE it, but I don't think anyone should be looked down on because of a choice you made. Weather it be breastfeeding or not or going to work or not, no judging here

  9. I tried it, but I was not producing enough to keep my son full so after 3 months, I gave up.

  10. Wow. Well, as the I *heart* breastfeeding mommy, I can say I never looked down on you or anyone else for using formula. Breastfeeding is a huge commitment and not everyone wants to or can make that commitment, which is completely understandable after having your body hijacked during pregnancy.
